In my experience, it’s hell to work with large (50+ pages) documents in Google Docs as the loading/update time is terrible. ![]() It’s more annoying to share documents with people who don’t have an Office subscription (but it’s not impossible-they can either use the free version of Word online or save the doc to Google Drive and edit it that way). I think the main difference between the two is just that Google Docs is free while Microsoft Office isn’t. There are apps for all of the Office programs & OneDrive and you can also access them via the browser on any device. ![]() Most of the comments are saying the main reason is that Google documents are saved in the cloud and accessible from everywhere, but Word documents are as well.
